My first visit to New Orleans was 1 year post Katrina. The purpose of our visit was to attend the Voodoo Music Festival, but I was struck by the level of destruction that continued to exist after an entire year. Many of these images were taken in what was left of the lower ninth ward and Metairie. It is my intention to continue a documentary piece of the reconstruction of New Orleans.
