This gallery is a collection of intimate portraits of nursing mothers. I started this series of portraits to promote extended breastfeeding in our Western American culture. These images were made into a book published at Blurb. The book is called "Mother's Milk" and contains quotes from the women I photographed when I asked them questions about their time spent nursing their babies.
